Singaporean crane sales and rental company Sin Leng Industries has taken delivery of an 80 tonne Tadano GTC-800 telescopic crawler crane.

The GTC-800 features a 42.7 metre five section main boom, plus a 17.6 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. The crane automatically switches between load charts for the slope it is working on, with charts for up to four degrees off level. It was delivered by local Tadano dealer Multico, and is the first Tadano crawler crane in its fleet.

“There is a trend shifting towards crawler telescopic cranes, due to site constraints. Having mobile and rough terrain cranes with outriggers make it inefficient as most sites require the cranes to shift along the access in between lift. Also, it does not require an assist crane to erect and the ease of mobilisation makes it a much more attractive to employ in a job site. 80 tonne was a gap that we do not have. Our telescopic cranes are only 60 tonnes and 100 tonnes.”

Established in 1979, Sin Leng Industries runs a fleet of more than 30 cranes, including Rough Terrain, crawler and floating cranes. The company also operates in offshore material and machinery transport, and offshore lifting.
