JLG has announced crawler versions of its new 600 series straight telescopic boom lifts – the 60ft 600SC and 66ft 660SJC.
The new completely redesigned 600 series wheeled booms were launched at Conexpo last year, the new crawlers now benefit from the same improvements, including faster lift speeds with the ability to operate multiple functions simultaneously and higher platform capacities. They also include extended wire rope and sheave replacement intervals – up from eight to 12 years and 7,000 hours, helping reduce maintenance costs and downtime for a lower total cost of ownership.
The 600SC now has an unrestricted platform capacity of 270kg – up from 230kg on it predecessor, but also benefits from a restricted 455kg capacity, with up to 12.5 metres of outreach – the earlier model was limited to 230kg. The 660SJC now offers 250kg unrestricted – compared to 230kg and 340kg restricted to 15.2 metres working outreach.
The new machines also include JLG’s latest SkyGuard secondary guarding system, with improved control panel as standard equipment and benefit from the latest options and accessories, including JLG’s SkyPower system which improves fuel economy and saves time, while providing additional power for hand tools and accessories.
JLG product manager for the greater European region Jan-Willem van Wier said: “The series offers class leading platform capacity, allowing operators to bring more tools and material to the work area. The new 600S has an unrestricted capacity of 270kgs, a 20 percent increase over the prior model, with a restricted capacity of 455kgs – compared to 340kgs.”
