Kato launches new city cranes

Kato has launched new versions of two of its city type All Terrain crane range, the 13 tonne CR-130Rf and the 20 tonne CR-200Rf.

The new models, designed for the European market, have been updated from the company's current 13 and 20 tonne models, the CR-130Ri and CR-200Ri respectively.

The new cranes retain most of the structural elements of the i models, including the 24 metre six section boom and 5.5 telescopic offsetable jib on the CR-130, and the 28 metre boom - 5.8 metre jib on the CR-200 – but include a host of new features, such as: 

- New cleaner Stage IV diesels – Hino on the CR-130, Cummins on the CR-200
- A higher - 62 kph/38.5 MPH - maximum road speed
- A completely redesigned operators cab, with greater glazed area, improved information displays and a slew of operator comfort features
- Automatic outrigger levelling with five extension widths, a standard Parking Distance Assist system with sensors front and rear, rear view cameras, and standard two position 3,000kg searcher hooks

Colin Cleary managing director of Kato dealer Rivertek Services added: “We intend to display the new models for the first time in Europe at Vertikal Days. Many of the enhancements and new features are a direct result of feedback between Kato engineers and UK crane users.”
