UK rental company Jones Crawler Cranes has taken delivery of a 4.9 tonne Maeda CC985 crawler crane, the first sold in the UK.
The CC985 features a five section 16.5 metre pentagonal boom, with a short extension that increases the lifting height to 20.2 metres. The crane can pick & carry up two tonnes, while the rest of the chart is in static mode with 360 degrees continuous slew. It will be sent to work on a job at Longleat Safari Park, Wiltshire, southern England.
Owner Mark Jones said: “We love everything about the machine and we are impressed with the build quality. The low emissions make this machine especially useful for us.”
Based in Shaftsebury, Dorset, Jones Crawler Cranes runs a fleet of telescopic and lattice boom crawler cranes from five to 140 tonnes from Maeda, Hitachi, Sennenbogen, Sumitomo and Mantis.
