Terex Cranes has appointed Guntram Jakobs as director customer support for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia.
Jakobs was previously product marketing manager at Terex for 10 years, and before that sales manager for North and South America for almost six years. He began his career in 1991 working for the Demag crane division as a field service technician becoming service manager for Demag Cranes & Components eight years later, a job he held until he was appointed sales manager in 2003.
Vice president for sales and service for All Terrain cranes Thomas Schramm said: “Our goal is to become the industry benchmark in this area. Guntram is a longstanding team member of Terex Cranes. He is committed to the company, knows the industry, and has technical expertise and experience in dealing with the industry and customers. He meets all the prerequisites to help expand our position in the region.”
