UK rental company Spence Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 150 tonne Grove GMK5150L All Terrain crane.
The new five axle crane is now the company’s largest and, according to the company, the largest crane based in Devon. It features a 60 metre main boom plus 11.2 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 17.8 metres. The crane can carry 10.2 tonnes of counterweight on the road within 12 tonne axle loadings – significantly more in the UK – The company has specified a number of optional extras including 10x8 drive, radio remote control and Grove’s Maxbase variable outrigger setup system.
Established in 1983, Spence Crane Hire is based in Newton Abbot, Devon. As well as All Terrain cranes, the company runs a fleet of spider cranes and Hiab loader cranes.
