French rental company ATM Levage has taken delivery of a 220 tonne Tadano ATF 220-G5 All Terrain crane.

The five axle crane features a 68 metre, seven section main boom with a hydraulic luffing swingaway extension, including an integrated 5.8 metre heavy lift extension. The new crane is the largest in the company’s fleet which also includes a 70 tonne Tadano ATF 70 and a 90 tonne Tadano ATF 90 along with cranes from Liebherr and Terex. Based in Valenton on the south side of Paris the company, says that crane’s first job will work on the €26 billion Paris metro expansion.

Company owner Riadh Tarsim said: "Given the construction sites that have been announced, I anticipate a corresponding increase in demand for larger cranes, which we will look to satisfy in order to maintain and even expand our position in the market."

Established in 1996, as a transport company, ATM entered the crane rental market in 2008, and runs a fleet of 20 cranes that includes All Terrains, Self-erecting mobile tower cranes, mini crawler cranes, spider cranes and large loader cranes. The company employs 100 at its Valenton location.
