Scottish rental company Whyte Crane Hire has taken delivery of two Liebherr All Terrain cranes, with 19 more on order.

The cranes that have been delivered so far include a 50 tonne three axle LTC 1050-3.1 city type All Terrain crane which features a 36 metre six section main boom plus a 13 metre bi-fold swingaway extension and 1.5 metre integrated assembly jib, and a 300 tonne six axle LTM 1300-6.2. The single-engine LTM 1300-6.2 features a seven section 78 metre main boom and is available with a luffing jib of up to 70 metres.

The rest of the order includes another LTC 1050-3.1, two 40 tonne LTM 1040-2.1s, three 50 tonne LTM 1050-3.1s, five 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1s, three 70 tonne LTM 1070-4.2s, two 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.1s, a 95 tonne LTM 1095-5.1, a 130 tonne LTM 1130-5.1, and a 450 tonne LTM 1450-8.1, which will be the first of this model to be delivered in Scotland. A number of the cranes have been ordered to work on the INEOS refinery in Grangemouth, southern Scotland.

Headquartered in Ellen near Aberdeen in east Scotland, Whyte Crane Hire has a fleet of mostly Liebherr cranes with capacities ranging between 40 and 750 tonnes. The company has two more depots in Scotland, one in Montrose in the east and one in Grangemouth.
